Sustainable development is more than just a trend

A peer-reviewed collection of conference papers in the field of sustainable development for the years 2024 and 2025 has been published.

The volume, edited by Dr. Tanja Bagar and Dr. Daniel Siter, brings together 11 peer-reviewed papers from the 12th and 13th International Scientific Conference It’s About People. The publication offers an interdisciplinary insight into sustainable development—from entrepreneurship and urban planning to environmental challenges, material innovations, and the design of ESG strategies.

The contributions address key aspects of sustainability: the resilience of environmental systems, sustainable building models, the digitalization of small businesses, low-emission mobility, and innovative materials such as industrial hemp. The editorial points out that sustainability is not only a political topic but also a scientific and personal commitment to more responsible development.

The volume reinforces the key message that sustainability is more than a trend; it is a shared commitment to harmony between people, technology, and natural systems.
