Accreditation
Alma Mater Europaea University (AMEU) is a non-profit accredited university with 2,500 students from 30+ countries and offers 25 PhD, Master‘s, and Bachelor‘s programs.
Alma Mater Europaea University and all its study programs are accredited by SQAA (NAKVIS). SQAA has specifically accredited the location in Vienna, Austria, for the physiotherapy study. See the accreditation decision in Slovenian, German and English.
Austrian accreditation agency AQ Austria has accepted the Notification of AMEU’s study program Physiotherapy in locations in Vienna, Salzburg, and Austria. See the positive decision in German.
The degrees of all programs at Alma Mater Europaea University are recognized in all EU member states, including Austria, as well as worldwide.
Graduates of study programs carried out in Austria will earn degrees and receive diplomas from AMEU, location Vienna.
We keep expanding our locations and accreditations. By late 2025, we expect SQAA accreditation for the Vienna location and AQ Austria Notification decision for programs listed on our website: Phd in Physiotherapy, PhD in Strategic Communication Management, PhD in Applied AI, Masters in Health Sciences, Bachelor in Nursing, and others. These programs are accredited by SAQQ for online or Slovenia locations, and pending for the Vienna location.
The Leadership
The Rector of the Alma Mater Europaea University is law professor Prof. Dr. Ludvik Toplak.
The Director of the Vienna location is Prof. Dr. Jurij Toplak, a long-time law professor at the University of Maribor and adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law in New York.
The Academic Dean of the physiotherapy program in Austria is Dr. Maximilian-Niklas Bonk. Dr. Bonk is a top neurosurgeon specializing in innovative procedures and clinical research.
Maja Sabra serves as the Head of Admission and Head of Administration of the Vienna location.
As. Prof. Dr. Anja Hellmuth-Kramberger is the Head of Accreditation, Head of Humanities department and a senior researcher.
Alvaro Nebreda is the Head of Tech and Teacher support & and a Lecturer of Physics.
